Ill try and search more out on YouTube and convert them to mp3 form and then chart them.

This pains me.

Look for the OSTs for games where it may be available or, especially for older format games, capture multitracks imo. I'll give you the details on how to do it if you're not sure since I'm mulling over doing one or two myself eventually.

UPDATE 7/18/13 - Another custom. This one is the main theme from the Xbox game HALO "HALO". This has been the most well known theme to the game with the monk chanting at the beginning with the orchestra in the middle. It has all instruments, It's tough to say what follows what, but each instrument follows a different part of the orchestra, also a vocal track with harmonies. The vocal track follows the words as well as part of the orchestra parts. The charts may not be "accurate" but it's what I wanted to play when playing each instrument, and decided to share. I believe it's pretty quality though, and fun to play.

It's not the GH DLC version. It's the original halo track, not the mjolnir mix.

2ND UPDATE 7/18/13 - Moved back to the Metal Gear franchise, starting with this one from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. This one "Boss Battle". This plays while fighting all the ingame bosses (Except Olga, Metal Gear, and Solidus) All instruments except vocals. The guitar follows the orchestra. Bass is intense following the techno sounding instrument in the background (no idea what it's called) and Keys is a derivative of the bass track but not nearly as crazy.

Thanks for more MGS. The 2nd game has my favorite music of the series next to 3. Looking forward to more! :haw:

The main theme is coming very shortly for MGS2 which I know you had asked about before. I don't plan on doing much from MGS2 because some of it is weird and difficult to convert to gameplay, but if you have anything particular from MGS2 besides the Main Theme that you'd REALLY like I'll try and see if it's chatable well enough to do. The skateboarding theme from Substance I'll do too eventually BTW.

I was considering the final battle theme actually. Some of the percussion is really hard to chart though because It's tough to pick up. I'm almost done with the main theme and you'll see the drums are kinda weird to try and nail down. The other instruments are OK it's just the drums are hard to pinpoint what's what.

I can see how the drums can be difficult being that its an electronic drum machine. The high hat is absolutely ridiculous in most of the songs. Good idea doing the Snake Skateboarding theme because it would translate very well with RB3.

UPDATE 7/20/13 - The opening theme to Metal Gear Solid 2 "Main Theme". This plays in the intro cinematic before the main menu. The drums were pretty hard to nail down what's what, so it has a basic beat to it but also is pretty difficult. Guitar follows orchestra. Keys follow as much of the backing synth that I could distinguish, Bass follows a little bit of both. Also there's a vocal track with it that follows along with the orchestra of the song.

Thanks for the MGS2 theme. Cant wait to play it next time I fire up my custom drive. :D

Days later: I played the MGS2 theme song on Pro Drums and it was quite fun. I was expecting for the military snare rolls at the end of the song to have those troll lanes. The ending seems a bit undercharted but its still satisfying. :excited:

UPDATE - 7/23/13 - A pretty big one that I know a few people here asked me for, which I planned on doing anyways, this one from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. "Snake Eater". This is the song that plays at the beginning of the game during the intro cinematic. (And also later in the game when doing that annoying 3 minute climb up the ladder you can't skip). The song has a very Bond-like sound to it. It has all instruments. Guitar follows the orchestra/ piano in the beginning and then stays only with guitar. Keys follow piano/orchestra. The vocals are done very well and are very fun to play. All around an awesome song for anyone who loves the franchise. I put a lot of work into this one, I dare say it may be my best customs vocally anyways, and I think it came out great so I hope everyone enjoys.

UPDATE - 7/25/13 - This one from Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance "Skateboarding Theme" this plays during the bonus skateboarding levels. The sound quality isn't as good as my other songs but it's not terrible. It has all instruments and a vocal track to follow along with. As the visualizer shows, rhythm guitar is on Keys, it follows the same parts as the lead most of the time, with a few exceptions like during the solo. It's a fun one to play I think.

Listening to the skateboarding theme really takes me back to the early 00's when Skateboarding videogames were very popular. I played Tony Hawk religiously until around the 4th game came out in the series.

UPDATE 7/27/13 This one is from the game "Mirror's Edge" this one is Lisa Miskovsky's "Still Alive". This plays in game and the end on the rooftop and during the credits. Also a derivative of this song plays at the main menu. It has all instruments. I charted harmonies of what I could actually distinguish, but it was hard seeing as how I don't have multitracks. Guitar follows a little bit of piano, harp, and guitar. Bass follows bass and harp. Keys follow keys. Also I should note I decided to go against my own grain on this one and NOT use the Video Game artist for this one. So the artist is listed under Lisa Miskovsky

UPDATE 7/31/13 - This one is from Silent Hill 4:The Room - "Room of Angel". This plays during the main menu if you keep the controller idle for a while and the trailer plays, also in game when you start a new game (but without words in the game) and when Cynthia dies. It has all instruments including harmonies charted to the best of my abilities from what I could figure out and hear. Guitar follows keys and some strings. Bass follows a main bass flow based off the keys. drums are extremely easy and kinda boring but it's there. I've yet to test so if there's any issues please make me aware. Enjoy.

ALSO for anyone who wants it to be sorted by the real artist name and wants to fix it in LeFluffie, the actual artist name is Akira Yamaoka

UPDATE 8/1/13 - Decided to move away from video games for 1 song, which is this one. John Williams STAR WARS!!!!! "20th Century Fox Fanfare / Main Title". This starts out the the famous drum roll Fox jingle, and then leads into the Main Title for every Star Wars movie when the big STAR WARS appears on screen. It has all instruments including a vocal track. I think it came out ok but I'll admit this isn't my best work. It was very hard to tempo map and difficult to chart but when I played 1 instrument it seemed to come out ok. Again, nit my best, but it is playable and doesn't suck. Enjoy!

EDIT: It appears in my haste and excitement of completing this song I spelled "century" wrong in the song title. Ill try and get a fixed version up there soon. But if not its easily fixable in LeFluffie.
