Queensryche! :) The missus is gonna love this! In true RB forum fashion, though, I gotta whine: WHY NO EMPIRE OR MINDCRIME? ;)

Fantastic news. Fridays are AWESOME again!

Read the blog post thoroughly... :) All in due time, man, all in due time. :c00l:

Very happy someone will enjoy this though, I feared nobody would care. :)

I think the DL links for Damaged and Lady Jane are broken, as I could not get those.

But great work otherwise. Super solid offerings.

Oh my god! thank you.

I gotta ask though why not do a single zip file for full albums?

I remember the Guns 'n Roses pack being a 5-pack that also included a custom version of Welcome to the Jungle, which is also a GH3 track. Were the two versions similar/the same as far as Drums are concerned? Since GH3 would just be Guitar/Bass anyway, and I remember reading that he wasn't sure where the Guitar/Bass charts came from... just curious!

Can't test these links and having trouble loading both the DB and blog atm, but those /should/ be right. Please let me know if they don't work.

Edit: On the subject of "Welcome to the Jungle", iirc, that was released as part of the GHtoRB3 back catalogue since it did come out through their project.

Right, so my question is, are the two versions identical?

And yes, those links work!

Yes, I was very happy to read that! Just had to give the old traditional "never satisfied" forum post, though. ;)

Very happy someone will enjoy this though, I feared nobody would care. :)

I guess Promised Land has a bit of extra nostalgia for me, as it was the album that was most recently out around the time the (pre-)missus and I started hanging out together. We'd do the vocals for "Disconnected" on the spur of the moment for no reason at all while out driving... :)

She's the big Queensryche fan, though, as my exposure was mostly due to general consumption of prog and neo-prog acts of the day. Her particular "never satisfied" post would probably include demands for oddities like "Last Time in Paris" sooner than later! ;) (she *totally* loves that song)

Cheers, though: I love that you guys are putting your passion front and center on this. That shows through and elevates the work.

If I already have Sweet Child O Mine and Paradise City and got them from farottone's customs thread on XBox360ISO do I need to re-download the versions of the songs posted here? Are there updates/fixes/changes to the versions put on this site today that would make need to re-download them? I got them from that other thread a few weeks ago. Thanks again for all the awesome work you guys do!

Yes, they are slightly better versions (polished vocals, fixed some notes length, etc.). Nothing MAJOR but since the polished version is just a download a way, I'd go ahead and do it. Plus, Paradise City has pro keys now.

Thanks!!!

I have a question:
Any difference in Stairway to Heaven, released two weeks ago, with the song in the tinyurl.com/RockBandCustoms?

Thank you so much Farottone. I'm going to really enjoy playing these new songs. Just started playing some of your Rush albums on Pro Drums and am having a blast. Keep up the gods work!

I noticed on xbox360iso site there is a version of Welcome to the Jungle in Farattone's thread. Is that version different than the GHtoRB version? Thanks

At the time, me and the GHtoRB3 guys did the same song without knowing the other party was doing it. But now it doesn't make sense to re-release mine when there's already a version out.

Am I correct in understanding that "Community Spotlight" simply draws attention to songs from the spreadsheet, and the announced songs haven't actually been changed? I jumped on this week's CS tracks back when they first went up, but I'll re-download if anything has been updated. :)

The feature is designed to draw attention to community releases, new or old, that we feel merit a look.
