I don't know if there will ever be another update, but something nice would be to make the PS3 Converter's "Merge Songs" option to not be greyed out when a songs.dta file is missing, and instead just make the empty file automatically. The current behavior is usually confusing for new commers.

The "PS3 Convert" option needs an option to ignore periods. If you use the "Batch Renamer", it will add periods where they belong like "Black Sabbath - N.I.B". As a result the file is skipped in the "PS3 Convert" option because it (and windows) thinks the file has an extension of ".B"

Also, to Alternity's point it's nice that the "Merge Songs" option is grayed out now However it is grayed out and checked. This makes it look like the songs file is there and you can't NOT merge. It should be grayed out and UNchecked.

If keeping it greyed out is the on road map, it would be nice to have some sort of instruction manual that says that if you own the RB2 Free Pack 01 to put the dta file from that pack in the "Merged Songs" folder (or maybe an automated way to get it from FTP), and if not, instead just give the option to make an empty one (or ignore that it is missing and just proceed, both are kind of the same result).
Something I think that PS3 users would appreciate is a way to manage the songs directly from FTP, but that would be a decent amount of work. Right now the only thing the converter offers for song management is only related to the local dta file.
Another feature that would benefit much less people, but could still benefit some of the methods used to play custom songs is the ability to make a pkg file with custom songs, that also I believe would be a decent amount of work to figure out. This could also lay the ground work for the PS4 custom songs users.
