This weekend I had to go to my parents house while they were out of town. My parents planned on moving to a new house awhile ago and finally sold the house. They wanted me to be here in case there was any stuff that came up related to the move, to take care of the cat, etc. I didn't really mind, but something sank in.

This may be the last weekend where I actually spend time in the house, besides moving out boxes when they move. They plan on moving in mid-August. This house was also the house where my Guitar Hero / Rock Band experience began.

I started playing on the Nintendo Wii when Guitar Hero 3 came out. I think it was like 2007 / 2008. As soon as I played it, I was hooked. I loved the music and I loved the experience. We had a smaller TV (I think 32 in), but we had a great surround sound system and the calibrations for any GH / RB game was ON POINT. From there, I continued to play the game and get the new ones whenever they came. I even discovered C3 when I was still playing down there! I'll never forget playing Led Zeppelin and Guns N' Rose's Appetite For Destruction for the first time on Rock Band 3.... It was an insane game changer.

So tonight, using the same setup, I will be playing the FINAL round of Rock Band in that spot. I don't know why, but I felt like I had to do one final show to do a proper send off / celebration. After tonight, the door where everything all began will shut for good.

With that, I'll update this thread later on what songs I played. Feel free to post song recommendations throughout the day and maybe I'll throw it onto my set list! If anyone has seen my wish list on the Song Request thread, I'm really into the 70's / 80's rock, any metal, some tasteful punk or grunge. But today the big day and I'm excited to see what it will bring!

Okay, "Good Riddance" is an acceptable final song in place of "American Pie". :)
