To begin, I have a custom song that has too many channels, thus causing it to lag on Wii. If I could remove the crowd channels, the game should be able to run it just fine, but due to encryption on the mogg, my only other option is to use the phase shift converter from C3 to downmix it to stereo. However, this embeds the crowd audio into the entire song, thus making it sound staticky and hard to listen to. Do I have any other options here? Can I just edit the dta to ignore the crowd channels or would I need to rebuild the custom on my own with my own audio? Thanks for any help.

Sadly, no.  You can try asking the custom author to create a version of the song tailored to the Wii, with a single stereo track and/or no crowd track.

Figured as much, I ended up finding the multitracks online and just rebuilt the whole custom in Audacity/Magma. Took a bit to determine the actual starting point of the song which was a pain but now it's all working flawlessly with multis intact :)
