I'm currently charting the drums on my first custom. But I don't know how to properly chart the hihat rolls so it will be playable on non-pro drums. For comparison, songs like Orange Crush, Everlong and Outside (Tribe) have the beats I'm trying to chart. I looked through the PDF guide, but I couldn't find anything useful

Well have you check this first? RBN wiki has more than the PDF guide.

Look for a section called drum mix events to achieve what you're trying to do.

Those are lanes. I meant rolls for beats with hihat notes and snare notes being flipped, but return to normal when on pro drums
