Hey guys,

What are some of your favorite custom songs to suggest on expert pro drums? My favorite styles to play are James Gang, Instrumentals (Plini, Chon, Polyphia), Coheed and Cambria, and more complex Rap/EDM remixes.

Theres a few I play when I want to just have a fun time, but then theres a few I play when I want to have a bit of a difficulty session. Heres a few of my favorites you can attempt.

Less than Jake - All My Best Friends Are Metalheads
Goldfinger - Superman & Spokesman
Green Day - Revolution Radio & Back In the USA
Grand Fun Railroad - Were An American Band
George Harrison - What Is Life
Dream Theater - Panic Attack (not as difficult as people say)
Rush - Tom Sawyer (Original)
& I could go on & on haha.

In general terms...

Almost any Rush.

Almost any Zeppelin.

Almost any Sabbath.

Almost any Frank Zappa.

Almost any Metallica.

Almost any Soundgarden.

Almost any Tool.

Almost any Guess Who

Almost any Jimi Hendrix

More specifically...

Bonin' in the Boneyard - Fishbone

Up On Cripple Creek - The Band (one of my own customs)

Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who

Casey Jones - Grateful Dead

Heard It Through the Grapevine - CCR

This is just a few off the top of my head...

If you prefer tricky beats over severe stamina challenges, then you might like the Mario Kart Band charts in the database. There are some good jazz/funk/electronic songs from the Mario Kart 8 soundtrack.

In terms of things I've physically published or been a part of helping to chart. These either have a lot of fun Tom-play, cymbal variety sections, or just generally fun patterns for drums. Apologies that it's mostly Rush I've worked on lol

Neil Peart - Pieces of Eight

Rush - By-Tor and the Snow Dog

Rush - Scars

Rush - Clockwork Angels [Medleys Pt. 1 & 2]

(specifically off that album: Caravan (Album Version), Clockwork Angels, Carnies, and The Wreckers)

Rush - Show Don't Tell

Journey - Stone in Love

Rush - Der Trommler

^ If you enjoy punishment

More Rush I've helped on:

- Leave That Thing Alone

- Good News First

- Roll the Bones

- Lock and Key

- Test for Echo

- Totem

- Dog Years

- Limbo

That reminds me, I should really get back to work on those in my WIP. They're almost done
