If there is ONE thing in music which I am a true sucker for, it's odd-time signatures. Give me something in 5/4 or 9/8 and you win my day!

I have of course searched the database for many of my favourites and found a few such as Dream Theater's Surrounded, Genesis' Back in N.Y.C. and Joe Satriani's Echo.

I am now looking for suggestions of more odd-time signature songs to discover :)

Just a note however, that I am a lot more interested in songs which keep the same odd-time signature throughout*, or alternate with another (not necessarily odd) time signature between sessions**. Songs that change signature every 2 bars (like Dream Theater all others) are less interesting to me.

*such as Jethro Tull's Living in the Past, or Sting's I Hung My Head
**e.g. a lot of Marillion's songs

So if you know any customs matching this description, let ne know! :)

Songs that generally stay in the same meter off the top of my head include:

"Beyond This Life" by Dream Theater (5/4)

"Galaxies in Harmony" by Jarod Fedele (7/8) [my own song]

"Spark" by Hiromi (9/16)

"Celestial Terrestrial Commuters" by Mahavishnu Orchestra (19/16)
