Welcome to week three, all the way from CBGB's to a show at the legendary Metro Chicago.

This week is all handled by one single author whom shall remain nameless until Friday or the hint is solved.

This is the only hint:

Good luck!!

Okay totally out there, Young Rival? I looked up the image and it mentioned magic eye books. When I looked up magic eye music Young Rival showed up.

The magic eye thing is cool - it looks like two of these: ^ ^ though the second one is more wonky. No idea what it means ...

It looks like ^ ^

This is a total guess, but I'm guessing it's somebody with an anime-themed profile picture. Possibly since I just associate those ^^ eye-shapes with anime characters. Don't know who it could be though. Possibly atupomaruru? Or AFJOne23?

I might be way off, but those are my guesses.

my guesses for songs would probably be, some anime/japanese band, Porter Robinson and/or Madeon, or (might be a long shot) Alvvays.
as for authors, if first two then probably either atupomaruru, SuperRiderTH, ghostbyob, Oddbrother, Ultimate_MANGO or someone similar. As for Alvvays, drummerrockband.

Could this be Twin Peaks related?

Looks like something monochrome, but I got nothin'.

All I know is if it's the Metro, there's one Chicago band that was known to put on some good shows there.

Smashing Pumpkins.

Could be way off-base though.

Could it be really simple and some songs by The Chevrons?

Ring-a-ding-ding, we have a winner!

Now who can connect the second hint?

The picture makes me think of Batman's ears, so maybe "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning"?

Others have mentioned the two "carrot" symbols look like part of a smiley face.  So perhaps early Pumpkins, with the song Smiley and maybe some other pre-Gish gems?  A bit of a stretch seeing as rest of the Peel Sessions (which Smiley was released on) have already been released.  Regardless, I cannot wait to see what new SP songs we get to jam with soon!

*To expend upon the idea of the hint being "smile" related, a version of the Disarm single had a creepy smiling face on it, but I think the only song from that not released as a custom is Siamese Dream, so I doubt that's it.

Early SP?

Hmm....I Am One could use the C3X treatment (love the drums and guitar on that one).

from the Smile EP (UK CD single), either the demo of Soothe or Blew Away (a track written by James).

Geek U.S.A. for that great riff, and the drums being pretty tricky as well.

Coincidentally, with the reissues of Gish and Siamese Dream, there WERE DVD's of Pumpkins shows from those eras included. Hmm...

^ is the 94th ASCII character, maybe '94 is significant.

My only other guesses are Vieuphoria/Earphoria and/or The Lost '94 Tapes.
