"Holding Out" really has no bass part? Seems...odd.

Great song choices BTW.

We're back at it again. It's been a while since we've released some more content from our project but never-the-less, we're still active with it. Hopefully this album will be done and dusted so we can focus on the last 2 albums.

Today we've got two tracks off of The Killer's classic album, Sam's Town. We also have a song that you may recognize from Band Hero, Pictures of You by The Last Goodnight. There were a lot of great people that stepped up to work on these songs, and I am immensely thankful for all of them. Enjoy!

Do you like this release? Awesome! If you would have downloaded this release even if it was paid DLC, please donate 90 cents per song to the Make-A-Wish foundation, we’ll be forever grateful!

Gohan wa Okazu Single
by kueller

Ho-kago Team Time - Gohan wa Okazu
X9uO88V.jpg

Here's a song I've had collecting digital dust on my drive at about 80% completion for years, finally finished up for all of you. The music of K-On was practically made for Rock Band, with every instrument always having a fun role to play. It's no surprise there's already a number of customs available for the series' fictional band, Ho-kago Team Time. Today that number grows by one.

Now if anyone had seen the 2011 K-On movie, a major moment in the story was a performance of this very song in London's Jubilee Gardens right on the bank of the Thames. I find it a perfect way to bring us to our next upcoming release...

The next author up at December 8th, 10PM EST-04:00 CET is TheSheepQueen. In the next pack, the Sheep betrays her hexagonal land to deliver under the Union Jack. Expect eight-legged terror, purple in the morning, Sironimo, yet another 90s song about being young, and all of that should come... Right about....

The Who - Boris The Spider

After going punk, after going poppy, after going robotic, after going brvtal, we're going rosbeef with 5 bangers from quite famous artists! Starting off with Norman Cook, a.k.a. Fatboy Slim's biggest bang, The Rockafeller Skank, instantly recognisable because of its only lyric. Next is Roger Glover and Ronnie James Dio's gigantic hit Love Is All, which is sure going to be your worst nightmare on vocals! Of course, who could say UK without Britpop? And I deliver here with Supergrass' Alright, complete with that hyperactive piano and filled with british youth! But wait, did you see that? Let's take a closer look! Next up we've got Lux Aeterna, the theme song to the 2000 box office hit Requiem For A Dream. Perfect for your drug actions or plans to expose the CIA about these little green guys. Atupomaruru released a guitar cover too that you should definitely check out! To conclude this quite good pack, here's The Who's Boris The Spider, often recognisable as being the first song to feature the growling that would because more popular with the birth of Death Metal!

Arctic Monkeys 4-pack
by Kloporte

Arctic Monkeys - When the Sun Goes Down
yZgUmgL.jpg

Orginally known as "Scummy", When the Sun Goes Down is a song about prostitution. The song starts slowly with just Alex Turner's vocals and guitar, but soon becomes a fast-paced rock song after the line "I said he's a scumbag don't you know."
The song is really fun on all instruments, and as usual with AM the lyrics are quite fast-paced.

Arctic Monkeys - D is for Dangerous
uTR0LAZ.jpg

Favourite Worst Nightmare is my favorite AM album, which is why I picked three songs from this one. D is for Dangerous is sung by Matt Helders (drums) and Alex Turner (guitar) and I really wanted to reflect it on the venue.
This is a great song for duet vocals, and the song is really catchy!

Arctic Monkeys - This House Is a Circus
X8Rero3.jpg

I've had that song stuck in my head for days when I started charting this one. The drum part is really interesting and the song gets very intense near the end.

Arctic Monkeys - The Bad Thing
8xEeNoR.jpg

Originally, "What if You Were Right the First Time?" was insisted by Jamie to be in its place on Favourite Worst Nightmare, but Alex insisted for "The Bad Thing" to make the final cut, in exchange for never performing it live. That would explain why this song stands out a bit in this album, as it is (arguably) more upbeat and poppy.

I've gotta say, Klo, this is one of my favorite releases thus far. I never got into the Arctic Monkeys until their AM album, which I really, really enjoy, but it is arguably a much more poppy sound compared to their other releases. These four tracks are sooo different and seem to reflect that contrast, in a good way. I look forward to jamming out to them, but I will admit I wish there had been some inclusions from the much more down-beat AM... ;)

AJ... a quick Googling tells me it's either the Stones or Traffic, and I'll unashamedly tell you I'm rooting for Traffic. I've wanted Dear Mr. Fantasy as a track for a loooong time, and clues in the database tell me I might be right... :) Fingers crossed!

Thanks to everybody involved in this month-long event!

And may the 'Force Be With You' for your wish, Atruejedi!........I'd be down for some Traffic as well! :D

Seeing the total amount raised for C3Thon almost at the halfway point of the projected goal with just under the total amount of songs released close to halfway also, bodes well in seeing this Make A Wish drive really happen for a few kids.

I can't say enough how much the wife and I are pleased to be a small part of such a great community! Our gratitude goes to EVERYONE, authors and users alike for the time, the effort, the generosity and mostly for the love of a game that binds us all together to make a little bit of difference in our world today!

Could we hit that 2.5k mark by Sunday eve.?...I'm wishin' on a STAR....that 5 colored, button pushing, guitar toting, drum pounding, keyboard tickling, lead singing,.... plastic ROCKSTAR in each and every one of us!

We can make wishes really happen for a few more kids. Thanks to all who've donated so far! :D

I got'cha, but the racing enthusiast in me considers Mr. Nemo's very kind and generous contribution as that killer 'Nitrous Oxide kick' that's engaged at that very last surge to the finish line. But stay tuned, race fans! The wife and I are tossing around an idea that might help to build an even faster race car! ;)  :D
