Sad but not unexpected news up here in Canada.

Gord was the lead singer for the Tragically Hip, one of Canada's most famous rock bands since the early 80's.

He will be greatly missed.

Doc and I will be doing a tribute for him and Tom Petty in an upcoming episode of "Showdown" as well as a few Hip songs for the next Canada 150 pack at the end of November.

Please shoot me a PM if you're also working on a tribute so we're not doing the same songs I would appreciate it.

It's a sad day for us Canadians.

We are losing the greats way to often lately it seems.

Links to all songs are in the Customs database.

Canada has lost a great Vocalist.

Love the Music or Hate it but don't complain about it . It's FREE !!

Never meet your heroes, they say, but I think Gord would have been an exception. The world is just not the same.

It was such sad news.  I can't wait for the Long Time Running doc to be released. One of Canada's most iconic singers is no longer with us :(
