Hey, so I've finished charting drums for a song and I compiled it in magma.

However, for seemingly every single note in the song in every difficulty, I get this same error:

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [90:3:240] in hard difficulty has a duration of 121 ticks; max is 120
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [90:4:240] in hard difficulty has a duration of 121 ticks; max is 120
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [91:1:000] in hard difficulty has a duration of 121 ticks; max is 120

And so on... (in some cases it's 122 ticks and not 120).
Don't ask me how it happened, but it seems that somehow, many notes in my chart are too long by one tick (that's, hmm, 1/120 of a note, right?).

For starters, any idea how to fix this for all notes together? Without going through each note manually?
And second, if you have any idea how it happened so I can avoid it in the future, let me know...

Thanks!

Set your grid size to something like 1/32

Zoom out, hold right click and drag to select every note

Then at the top go to Actions > Show Action list

Make sure "Section:" is set to Midi Editor, and search for "grid size", the first action you should get is "Edit: Set note lengths to grid size", select that and run the action. This should shorten all your notes to 1/32

Just run CAT's Fix sustains command and you're done.

Thanks everyone, I changed all the notes to 1/32 and it was fixed. However, now Magma is just imagining problems...

I still get this error:

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [55:4:396] in easy difficulty has a duration of 144 ticks; max is 120
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [55:4:396] in medium difficulty has a duration of 144 ticks; max is 120
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [55:4:396] in hard difficulty has a duration of 144 ticks; max is 120
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Gem at [55:4:396] in expert difficulty has a duration of 144 ticks; max is 120

At a specific bar - rest of the song works fine.
However there's absolutely nothing special about this bar, and there's no notes at all in 55:4:396!
To make sure, I cleared the entire 55 bar in lower difficulties (not expert), and I still get the same error over all difficulties, even the empty ones!
What do I do?

You have a chewed up measure probably.

I ran into similar errors a few months ago. This might help you out:
