So I wondered what the Top 100 songs have been made in game and what hasn't, so I looked at a few websites The Rolling Stone and listed the Top 100 for the music connoisseur which is a bit pretentious.

Then I have Radio X which popular mainstream indie and rock radio station in the UK this seems like a medium on what we see in Rock Band a lot of Harmonix made tracks in this, but wow there listeners seem to love The Killers (3 songs in the top 10? NO WAY!)

And lastly I will do the Billboard Top 100, this is obviously mainstream with a lot more pop etc, so hopefully with these three top 100 I have covered a good range of taste.

You're right, not sure why it never initially appeared in DB, amended.

You should probably bold the ones that haven't been made to make it easier to read. Just a suggestion.

Seems like the majority of the No's are tracks from the 50's and early 60's, which if you look at the global stats on C3U are the least represented decades by a very wide margin.

...

But seriously why is there that much Bob Dylan on that list, and outside of what we now consider 'classic' rock, there is little to no representation of metal, prog, etc... and I didn't see much from post-2000.   Gnarls Barkley Crazy is the 100th greatest song of all time????  #youhavegottobekiddingme

Rolling Stone is a pretentious organization if ever there was one. It's like the Jazz documentary by Ken Burns. He spends 9 hours talking about 1900-1960 and then 1 hours on 1961-present. Biased much :|

Well it is the Rolling Stone and I agree, like AFJOne said they are a bit pretentious and I wonder if they're biased as I presume the publication is named after it.

Made some changes to the OP to reflect different tastes.

As one of our resident Killers-superfans, even I have to agree... but they're still a great, great American band, and I think their over-representation can partially be attributed to the sorry state of modern radio and the music industry. Whoops, dropped something...

Some songs on these lists have customs or dlc for alternate versions (live or other studio takes), but aren't for the most well known/best ranked incarnation.
Songs that spring to mind while glancing over the list:
Good Vibrations (live version)
Sitting on the Dock of the Bay (alternate take, but close enough, really)
My Generation (live)
The two Johnny Cash songs I believe
Heroes (cover)

Yeah I was going to do a * next to these but unsure on the rules of releasing a custom when there is a live version is done by Harmonix, so just put them as Harmonix done.
