I am curious how you broke down how much time you spent authoring different aspects of your customs. I feel like I spend way too much time testing, but that's probably because I'm a Wii user and there's no easy way to do it. I'm jealous of those low testing hours! Also curious how you computed how much time CAT saved you.

A. Thanks! I've spent a good portion of my life "loving shiz like this" too, so I spent another good portion teaching myself how to do it. =-)

B. You'll get to 50, I'm sure of it!

C. I didn't use exact numbers, as I never punched a clock; however, I used averages balanced by the learning curve at the beginning and supplemented by efficiencies I gained as I went. Thus the average. I also don't test every instrument, as it's almost impossible for me to play some of those crazy guitar riffs and solos. I understand the concept, but my coordination with that plastic instrument is middling at best. I've gotten good at authoring drums and vocals, so the play test on those go quick. Usually it's minor alterations unless I've totally screwed something up good. Thus, the average numbers.

D. I use CAT sparingly. Mostly because I'm a control freak with certain things. So I really only use it to do reductions, vocal overdrive and drum animations. That one I did a straight calculation on since it's takes roughly the same time every time. Sometimes I have to adjust things more than others, but it's pretty consistent.

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary.  I've enjoyed your selection of Oingo Boingo and Depeche Mode choices.  Looking forward to what you have in store for us in the future.

Man that is one impressive info-graphic!  What a great year you've had, and what gains you've made.  I have to say I especially enjoyed both your Glenn Campbell and Arcade Fire customs, those two are in regular rotation over here.   Keep up the great work, I am seriously jealous of those previews, we're gonna have to talk about those one day soon.

Thanks everyone! Appreciate your words, AND what each of you has contributed in the community (which is why I'm even able to have a year in review). I don't think I've ever stuck to doing one "hobby" for so long, but I'm still in love with the outcome. I still sit in awe when I play a custom; the newness never seems to fade away.

Here's what you've accomplished.......

We're excited for your work and appreciate what you've brought to the game!

The wife thoroughly enjoys your Power Station release and I've got my favorites in what you've done with Rondstadt, Cooke and Campbell. :)

We got nuthin' but love for your first year at doing this and know that the enjoyment you have at making these........are multiplied 10x on the user end by those of us who just play the game. The work you (and many authors of this forum) do, brings a whole lotta fun for us! We still love playing the game and you authors help keep it going! We sincerely thank you guys for that!!!   :D

Lookin' forward to much more of your 'Labor of Love'!

CONGRATS!! :D

Oh, and I'm pleasantly surprised for the 'shout out'.... I'm honored to be singled out, but I just wanna say there are many other 'non author members' whom I believe are equally, if not more worthy of the recognition....Rushfan2112, rcale, rezavakili, MidnightRambler67, PaulaW, Jloboc, zimbabwean, bostengaable are amongst those who have always been (in my observations) very positive, grateful and supportive of this community and of it's contributing authors. All y'all Rock in my book too, ya know!! ;)   :D

If I appear to be a little "off center", pay it no mind.

It's just my nogrognophobia kicking in.................

I have this morbidly unreasonable fear that the rum's run out! :D

Man, you're nailing it with your releases these day. I like the way your thread's going into the territory of obscure/lesser known bands. Though it's not be everyone's cup of tea, but this brings back the excitement of discovering new music (new music was all that i was craving when i was a student, and i still have endless hours of yet unknown artists and their songs to listen to).

This is a re-release as part of project "once-over" where I go back over my beginning customs and review all instruments to apply what I've learned and see what needs to be made better. This one just happened to go the extremes as I was able to find multitracks for it and learned to play keys so I knew what I was doing when authoring pro-keys (since it's Ben Folds and all). Hope you like the revised custom!!
