There is also the WiiFlow possibility; while I haven't really been able to reproduce, one of my friends was able to make an emunand work through WiiFlow; which he probably used also to generate it. Him making it work prooves that it's possible, but I have no idea how. (If you find a way to make it work with WiiFlow please share, as this would be an easier solution if this works for everyone)

I maybe, MAYBE got wiiflow working. I booted into Neek2o, loaded 'wiiflow-mod', set nand emulation to 'FULL', and it booted a new game with no save data. I saved the game, went back to the Nee2o wii menu, went to my save data, and sure enough it's there. I'm calling it a night for tonight, i'll post an update tomorrow

I figured out why it's not working for me with the emu nand that Alternity posted! That emu nand relies on on the Wii having a 'boot2', which mine does not. That's why in the instructions, it says you need 'NO BOOTMII FOLDER ON SD CARD'. Bootmii uses boot2. So, I'm willing to bet all I need is to get a Wii that's compatable with boot2

This is possible, I can confirm my wii has bootmii installed on boot2.

Reviving an old thread, but I feel this is important. I bought a new wii, and it's working great now. FOR IT TO WORK, BOOTMII NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED AS BOOT2, NOT IOS

Update: Check the last post on the [How-to] Wii customs threat for my latest problem.

I came across a way to run TBRB on vWii emu/virtual nand (SD card) that works.

WHY doesn't RB3 work the same way????????

That's not quite true, I can get RB3 to work, just can't load any custom DLC.

Is there a way to convert my official DLC to app files?

then that's it? is the method of using app files flawed? only works if it is by SD card? is it just BIN files?

It is not flawed, it works using the method I posted on the first page of this thread, the problem is getting it to work, it's not very straightforward, and no one ever got it to work with any other emulated NAND than this one.

BIN files are for SD card method, the emulated NAND method will require APP files.

I read the process, I confess that it is very complicated and like many, I don't think I will be able to make it work through it. can you tell me if it only works through these steps? my question is whether the emuNAND of the USB Loader GX is compatible with custom songs in app format ... until today, I only managed to use the SD card method, the one that uses BIN files.

They are, assuming you can make RB3 work with these. Any emulated NAND will be compatible with APP files, this is not the problem. The problem is making RB3 to work with said emulated NAND. The only one known to be relatively successfull is the one I posted in the first page, but nothing prevents you from trying other methods.
