It would be helpful if you were specific. The links DO work. They work just fine for Xbox 360 and PS3. They don't work for Wii. But saying they don't work would make farottone waste his time addressing the Xbox links, since that's what we primarily care about.

Far, it's all issues with the Wii links. Check that out.

Thank you very much. Sorry not being specific I didn't noted I was vague.

Okay, so all of my links are working now. But will I be able to upload anything anymore? Otherwise, I should start taking down any links to my tools or customs to rehost on something I can actually maintain.

Oh, sorry about that. I'll hold off on anything file-related in the meantime.

I understand this is an insanely remote shot but if anyone knows the basis of PHP and MySQL and wants to help out with a one-off thing that would take very little time, please PM me. :)

It's not an error, it's a thing to do but we already had 2 people pitching in, so thanks! :)

I'm noticing some problems with keepitfishy links for xbox360 as well. Here's a couple examples:

Those are old files that were only hosted there but not in the system. Not sure they will come back any time soon.

Where's the appropriate place to report those dead links? On the customs database entry comments?

Yeah, you might want to inform the author.

I wanted to use the album art repository today. Unfortunately, the links are still down. :crying:

No hurry of course, but are there any plans for a return?

Gotta love hosting sites that promise "unlimited" space and bandwidth but then attach so many strings that they make it all but impossible to actually hold them to that "unlimited" promise.

This is why, during my brief tenure at a web hosting company that offered "unlimited" accounts, I would tell potential customers that a better word for it is "unmetered".  While you could rest assured you would never be charged extra for using "too much" storage space or "too much" bandwidth, you could still get in trouble if you were found to be a resource hog compared to your neighbors on the same server.  Of course "unmetered" doesn't sound as attractive in the advertisements, so instead they would say "unlimited" and hope you don't notice the asterisk.

Fortunately, thanks to cloud storage, virtual servers and the like, you no longer have to lease an entire physical server to get dedicated, mostly-unrestricted storage space, so fairly-cheap options are out there.

Thanks again, Nemo, for all you do!

Yeah I worked with a hosting company for a few months and found this was odd. There really is no such thing as infinite bandwidth, storage, etc. There's ALWAYS a limitation due to hardware and costs. These things are just quick hooks to get customers really.
