Ten more keys upgrades are now in the RBHP fork!  Link in my sig, details right here:

  • Average White Band - "Pick Up the Pieces" (TheSheepQueen)
  • Blink-182 - "All the Small Things" (StackOverflow0x and FujiSkunk)
  • Blink-182 - "I Miss You" (StackOverflow0x and FujiSkunk)
  • Dropkick Murphys - "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" (StackOverflow0x and FujiSkunk)
  • Duran Duran - "Girls on Film" (StackOverflow0x and FujiSkunk)
  • KMFDM - "Juke Joint Jezebel" (TheSheepQueen)
  • Oasis - "Don't Look Back in Anger" (TheSheepQueen)
  • Oasis - "Wonderwall" (TheSheepQueen)
  • Styx - "Renegade" (StackOverflow0x and FujiSkunk)
  • Yellowcard - "Ocean Avenue" (StackOverflow0x and FujiSkunk)

Also, a fix to the keys upgrade for "And She Was" by Talking Heads.  The keys upgrade MIDI now includes the pro strings charts as well.

There is some great work here, and I don't just mean from me.  Enjoy, and pass along kudos where appropriate.

"Monsoon" didn't upload quite correctly.  At the moment the "songs.dta" file is missing, and the MIDI is misspelled as "moonsoon" instead of "monsoon".  Those familiar with the RBHP process can make changes to the song's DTA file for the harmonies-only upgrade and use that for adding keys, but either way I will make corrections to the repo once I'm back at my computer this evening.

Thanks to Whizzer for alerting me!

is anyone else getting freezing any time they play one way or another or wonderwall? this happens whether I'm trying to sing harmonies or do keys. nothing looks wrong in the midis, so I'm not sure what's causing the problem.

I can't find a pro drums upgrade for Surprise Valley (Live) by Widespread Panic, is this available anywhere?

apparently Move Along has no 5 lane keys chart, only pro, so it just crashes if you try to play 5 lane keys. has anyone provided an update to this? I'm amazed there aren't any posts about this oversight at all.

I know this might come off as me sounding like I'm clueless (cause I am), but how do you go about from adding the key forks to the .dta file? A step by step would be helpful with this.

A big thank you to all C3 staff! With all of your help, my RB Library is amazing and is loved when I take it to conventions (especially Everfree Northwest)!

Where are you right now on using files from the Rock Band Harmonies Project?  Have you successfully added harmonies and/or pro drum upgrades using the RBHP packager?  Or are you completely new to the RBHP?

Just finished bundling harmonies using the packager.

In that case you can use the same process to bundle the keyboard upgrades.  No manual editing of any DTA files is necessary.  Just follow the instructions for overlaying the extra upgrades you want on top of the harmonies upgrades, before feeding them all to the bundler.  The bundler then takes care of the rest.

I've just committed some fixes to existing keys upgrades:

  • "Move Along" by the All-American Rejects: 5-lane keys were missing.
  • "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day: pro keys didn't have overdrive.
  • "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey: neither pro keys nor 5-lane had overdrive.

Thanks to StackOverflow0x and Linos Melendi for their help in getting these fixed.

Got it now, thanks! I was confused with GitHub for a bit and I thought I had something else I needed to do. But all good now!

Um, I'm totally new to RBHP, I'm kind of lost as to what I'm suppossed to do? Is there a proper order for adding these upgrades to songs? And these optional upgrades seem helpful, is there anything special about them?

Update: So is it just as simple as finding the individual song file that needs an upgrade, then adding the upgrade files on the right and the original song on the left? The help button mentions not using the upgrades.dta if I'm not adding pro G/B. I am adding pro G/B so I need to have that right? What about if there are multiple files for a single song i.e. Boulevard of Broken Dreams has keys and Pro B/G. Thanks again

Do I need to package the Harmonies files if I just want the Keys and Pro Guitar? or Can I just package Pro Guitar/Bass, than keys using Con Tools?

the pro guitar and keys upgrades have the harmonies in the midis, so it would be much easier to just add the version that has everything, and when you attach an upgrade with the bundler it will tell you what midi tracks it has, so just add the version that has PART REAL BASS, PART REAL GUITAR, and PART KEYS and you should be good to go.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who added Pro Guitar and Keys to these legacy DLC songs. This is a great project!
