By the way, does anyone know why certain songs for PS3 users get the "failed to load" message? Unfortunately, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" (and probably 10-20 other songs I've downloaded) won't play on my system. I've noticed that older files tend to do it more than newer files, which suggests that it might have something to do with the version of Reaper/Magma it was created on.

For those of you who want to play the original version of "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)" on Rock Band...
...I salute you.

Salutes right back at'cha for putting this out. Even though I had bought the RB AC/DC LIVE track pack, like you, I felt the studio version of 'For Those About to Rock' was a much more desirable version to have. Much more 'cajones' in the studio cut. No if's, and's or but's about it!
Thank You!

Hey there! You mentioned that my custom 'Ween - Freedom of '76' wouldn't load and I can see that earlier in this thread you had the same question about some other songs.
I compiled that song with Reaper 4.22, Magma 3.32. That song had a midi source but I did not paste that file into the Reaper project, instead I just copied the midi notes from one project tab to the other - I've had really poor results with midi files and Magma but I'm sure this is due to my own ignorance. The file was parsed with pretty much all of the CAT options available.
Anything I can do to help please let me know.

You're welcome, doctor! I find vocals challenging, so if you see any glaring errors, let me know.

Whoa, Mrcoupdetat...these are some very heavy releases!
Can't wait to check them out. These have been on a lot of requests lists for a long time. Thanks much for putting in the work on them.

Also, whenever the long awaited C3 forum member convention takes place, and "We are the World" inevitably gets played, I call dibs on the Bruce Springsteen part.

Are the lack of guitars in WATW and DTKIC because you left them out, or because there aren't any in the songs?
As far as I can tell---and I could be wrong about this---there are no guitars in either song. The Canadian song features guitar, but it's buried in the mix.

Not a problem. I gotta say though---"We Are The World" was a pain in the ass to chart. I did a version that featured a much more thorough take on the vocals, but when I tested it out, the visuals up on the screen were a total mess. The final version is much more streamlined, which is why I added that note in the database about how none of these songs have true harmony parts.

Great song choices, some of those sound like they must have been very challenging. You mentioned you sometimes have troubles with vocals, so let me just put it out there that if you ever need help (especially harmonies) I would love to. I actually find vocals to be the easiest chart to tackle, then drums, bass and finally guitar is my nemesis. Thanks again!

I might take you up on your offer some day. I'm getting better at vocals, but harmonies---unless they're really simple---trip me up because I just don't have a good enough ear to pick out the proper notes. That's why I didn't do proper harmonies for all three of these songs---I just knew I wouldn't be able to do them justice.
