Is there a tutorial out there which explains how to make multitrack customs into Wii-friendly versions that don't stutter? I am more than willing to put the time and energy into "converting" some of these for the sake of allowing me and the rest of the community to enjoy them. I get so sad when I see an awesome custom we can't enjoy! I just want to give back to this community, even if it's in a small way, for all it's given us!

If there isn't a link to one in the first post, then I probably have to write one, but I'm sure I have.

Typically, you would enable Wii Mode in Magma, then convert the CON there. It downmixes the audio for you and it will build out a file that should work well on the Wii. If that still isn't enough and you need lower quality sound, there's RockBiink which is a bit more manual, but will produce a Wii-only .bik file for you to use instead of a MOGG. However, if the author encrypted their MOGG, then you have to ask the author to convert it for you, or I can convert it as well.

Can you help me get customs on dolphin??

Here's what I've done

I've named the folders correctly and got the .app files (also named the songs.dta correctly)

I've set my nand correctly.

I put the app files into my content folder for rb3.

and this is what it looks like in game.

Any help?

Also, all your download links on this topic are dead. I had to get them from other people (like WiiDLC packer).

EDIT: Also, do I need to setup dolphin for online play?

You are missing the 000001d2.app file required for sZAE.

For online play you need files from a real NAND; that includes a savegame that was already activated to play online. You also need to setup dolphin for regular online play. Everything is said in the RB3 Dolphin Wiki: https://wiki.dolphin...tle=Rock_Band_3

All right, so how do I get that?

So I basically need to do that for customs?

the 1d2 file should be included with the packer (Stack; please confirm?). The other way of obtaining it is downloading a song from the sZAE generation from the store; something that can't be done on Dolphin; but can be done on real/emu NAND. If you get it via real NAND make sure you are downloading DLCs to your NAND and not on your SD card.

And no; this is only for online play on RB3.

Oh, I just got a nand from someone, and now I can play customs. However now I have a new issue. I think this is user error, but how exactly do I use smart folder merge? This thread mentions it but doesn't really say how to use it.

Smart Folder Merge, if I recall correctly, requires you to first drop in the folder for the DLC you've already prepared for build. Then, it will ask you to choose the folder of the custom you want to add. This can be either the _meta or _song folder. After that, it should combine it with your already-prepared folder so all you have to do is just rebuild.

Auto-kick could be much tougher than it seems. Vocal overdrive on button seems possible. Unfortunately, even though the bugs with the debugger have been fixed, now the game runs very slow on most recent Dolphin builds. So I'd have to wait until that gets fixed so I could look into it.
