Why? I mean, I get the leaderboards will be wiped, but why would that stop you from playing them?

I actually had a fun time playing 20 (!) songs in Show Mode with my wife this Saturday.

I am a score chaser.  Might as well do something else for a while.

I see. Have you tried Fallout 4? I've been wasting ridiculous amounts of time on that.

I just finished Witcher 3.  Fallout doesn't quite look up to the task.  In the meantime, I bought every shmup on my Steam wishlist for half off in the Winter sale.  Should keep me busy for a couple weeks ;)

If you work on songs prior to 2010...you might be okay!

Shame about the coldplay track. I just finished helping Greenpanda with it last night. I was thinking of doing the JB song, but I thought it wouldn't translate well into rockband.

I like to think that I'm open minded when it comes to music, but isn't the game we all know and love called "Rock Band" and not "Pop Star?" As much as I would like to support HMX, I think I'm going to continue playing customs.
Hey, I'd come up with a witty idea for a signature but, I can't seem to think of an idea for one at the moment, so I'm just going to leave this here in case I think of one later.

HMX needs to get the kids interested in buying stuff, or this thing goes away forever.

They know more about what sells, and who is buying it...than we do.

I hope they sell a bazillion units of these songs.

Remember Harmonix is independent now, they don't have a big company giving them money anymore. They have to rely on the money from DLC and such. So how do you get the money? Release popular songs that people know so they will buy them. Doing more recent songs from bands such as JB and 1D can also bring in new commers interested in playing these songs, making Harmonix even more money. Now do I like the bands? No. But I can understand why.

Also alot of people complain about wanting more metal, but you argument works the same way. Why should there be metal in a game called "Rock Band"?
