I've been trying to open the .mogg files included in the packages for use in another rhythm game. The problem is that I don't even know what to open the files with. Help!
I am able to import them into audacity sometimes, but I'm not sure it always works. I know sometimes it's encrypted, in which case you may never be able to use it.

If the audio is not encrypted, Audacity will accept it and you can then manually separate the channels.
You can also use Phase Shift Converter in C3 CON Tools to convert to Phase Shift format, which in the process separates the audio. Again, only if the song isn't encrypted.

I think you're confused. I implemented the encryption. Nobody on here will decrypt them, because we don't allow it.
Ah, I see. The thing is, I intend to convert the C3 custom charts for use in Guitar Hero II.

You can always just use the Phase Shift Converter in C3 CON Tools and it will turn the mogg into a stereo ogg if its encrypted
(Hopefully I'm remembering that correctly)
IT WORKED! I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks!
(On that note, why didn't I think to use the Phase Shift converter?)

If the audio is encrypted (most C3 customs) you can't get at it. Plain and simple.
If the audio is not encrypted, Audacity will accept it and you can then manually separate the channels.

Why is the audio decryption for phase shift conversion not allowed? That would sure be a lot easier than having to go and convert an mp3 file over to the correct format and make sure it's lined up with the chart just for use in phase shift Is it a copyright protection thing I guess, so people aren't accused of sharing music?
