I still can't decide if I like "Your Love". I've been going back and forth on that one since the day it came out. I'll undoubtedly play it lots, though.

It's a simple song, but it's catchy, and is a perfect fit for 4 instrument Rock Band.

...and the singer is kind of an a**hole. The character, that is, not the actual singer... presumably.

And yet I find still myself liking it... sometimes.

Well, did you request that song in 2012? That's the only way you could have influenced that song since that's when it was charted.

Nice try, but I've seen every Doctor Who episode my friend.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff.

Wait a minute...a rock singer singing a song about no-strings-attached casual sex?!?!?!

The horror. The horror!

Not from the viewpoint of the fifth dimension.

How dare you and The Doctor summarily dismiss the wisdom of Nietzsche as confusingly presented by True Detective. Also who's to say I don't have ready access to some Interstellaresque tesseract. Your obvious anti-McConaugheyism is clouding your judgment on this issue.

I stand by my position that my request for Your Love, which I made last month, was the catalyst for the creation of that custom over four years ago. And I challenge anyone to refute the facts.

You couldn't be further from the truth. I was a McConaughey fan long before anyone paid me to be a McConaughey fan. I just like how it feels. Alright, alright.

Also, updated OP. Now back to work.

That's not the vibe I get. To me it sounds like he's trying to convince her he "genuinely" loves her but then he still hopes she'll keep quiet and also be gone in the morning. "Yeah, I love you, baby, really I do. By the way, there's the door."

I have the same issue with Robert John's "Sad Eyes", but there it's even more explicit and also not as catchy, so that one's easier to hate. :)

Well, at least the singer is upfront about the fact that "I just want to use your love tonight".

But yes...he does tell her to get out in the morning and keep quiet about it. He also likes his girls a little bit older, so there's a tinge of something illegal being hinted at.

I knew some people who wanted to play this song at their wedding, and I was like "have you ever actually listened to the lyrics"?

Ludicrous. He's a great guy. Obviously he wants to keep the relationship under wraps to spare the feelings of his girlfriend (Josie) who is out of town. He has her best interests at heart.

I think moreso than the songs, I'm very happy to see the direction they've taken with the notes and the note highway. This looks much better already.

Agreed. I just wish they would better differentiate the HO/PO notes from the regular ones.

Yes, and Color Me Badd would like to take a lovely lady out to a nice meal at the finest French bistro in town, buy her tickets to her favorite romantic comedy movie, and then stroll through the park while making small talk about their hopes and dreams.

I really don't like the new notes honestly. Also, is there a law that prevents them from showing harmonies in previews?

I have to agree with Farattone, I don't like this. It's a bit too bloomy, and it may be hard to differentiate between toms and cymbals on pro drums; it took me several watches to even realize there was finally pro drums.

Finally they show some cymbals for pro drums. Not sure if I like the new note skins but they sure look better than the ones in those E3 builds. How hard could it be for them to have multiple skins to choose from for the note highway? Do it Harmonix!

By the way, taking "Your Love" down from my shared drive. :D

Is it wrong that having customs turned what would have been a grand slam announcement into an rbi double for me? Three of the best of these songs I have already been playing full band in RB3 and they are now nothing to get excited about.

I do love seeing Van Morrison and Ozzy though.

I agree with this. They look cool, but they may have overdone it a tad with the result that regular notes look a lot like hopos. What was wrong with the way they looked in previous games?

Check out Kem's Customs! Featuring The Sounds, The Donnas, George Thorogood, and The Rolling Stones.

I have been wondering this myself. Have there actually been any reports of people singing harmonies at events, e3, etc.? I am curious to see how they look with the new vocal improv feature.

The note highway progression almost looked like it was...racheting down the screen or something, instead of smoothly progressing. At least, that was the case with the drums. I'm also not big on the note gems, but I'm keeping an open mind.

These new songs, on the other hand, strike me as great choices, on the whole.

Of course, 'til ion drums support is announced, it's a moot point for me. :|
