Hey there Rockers,

Sorry there were no hints this week. I have been under the weather all week. I am feeling a bit better and I'm eager to see the weekend return!

Now that Shocktober is over, what is the Funhouse up to?

Starting this weekend, the Funhouse will be running a return to the youth of Nunchuck. When I was in High School, there was no music as hot as Hair Rock. A little bit metal, a little bit glam and a whole lot of awesome!! I have been planning/hoping for an eventual visit to this amazing era of music. For the next several weeks, the Funhouse will be running a special Hair Rock festival.

We have a sweet line-up for this festival. For this special event, we have a bit of a teaser of what you will see in the near future...

See ya this weekend for the first installment of The Funhouse Hair Rock Festival!!!!

**Funhouse Hair Rock Festival Week One**

iwq4j0ab1jj4qqgzg.jpg

Hey there Rockers,

The weekend has finally returned to the Funhouse!! We are here with a Sunday release!

This is the first installment of The Funhouse Hair Rock Festival!! We are kicking it off with one of my favorite bands of the era.

Whether you first heard them on the Headbanger's Ball, live on The Strip or in Guitar Hero Encore:  Rocks the 80's, one of the greatest sleaze rock bands ever... Faster Pussycat!!

I won't make you wait any longer...

Release Notes

Bathroom Wall - This is probably the most recognizable Faster Pussycat song. There was a cover version in Guitar Hero Encore:  Rocks the 80's. It was also featured in the film Dudes. It was the second single off the Gold debut album Faster Pussycat.

Don't Change That Song - This was the first Faster Pussycat single. Its video played on Headbanger's Ball often. It didn't hurt that Faster Pussycat Frontman Taime Downe was partners with Headbanger's Ball host Riki Rachtman as owners of the infamous "Cathouse" Club in Los Angeles.

Babylon - Faster Pussycat is known for their live performances. This track is one of the crowd favorites. With its rap-ish style of vocals and the "Shut Up!" crowd participation, this one is just pure fun. The Film Decline of the Western Civilization part II The Metal Years featured both Faster Pussycat and the "Cathouse" Club. If you love Rock Documentaries and haven't seen it, you should immediately!!

Thank you all for the kindness and support!

You "Peeps" Rock!!

I would like to thank Sygenysis for his amazing work in making something I love so much come to life.

Dreams do come true!! The 15 year old me is so happy right now!!

We will see ya next week for Week Two of The Funhouse Hair Rock Festival!!

I don't post much these days but this release blew my mind. I swear that I was listening to Faster Pussycat this very morning and my wife asked me who I was listening to. I said verbatim "Faster Pussycat, I forgot how much I liked these guys. I wish I had some of their stuff to play in RB". Then I went to the database to see if there was any that I may have missed and I see this. This is very bizarre indeed and must have a deeper meaning but since I have no idea what that could be, I'll just take it as a cue to pour a few down and belt a few out...CHEERS!

** Funhouse Hair Rock Festival Week Two **

Hey there Rockers,

The weekend has finally returned to the Funhouse for an awesome Sunday release. This week's Hair Rock Band is the BulletBoys; the band that could be heard in most strip clubs, with their sleazy-fun brand of rock. We are pleased to bring you three new songs and one reworked version of a past release. Let's get right into these bad mothers...

Release Notes

For the Love of Money - The BulletBoys hit it big with this great O'Jays cover. The song is a fun, highly recognizable song. It made for a memorable follow up to Smooth Up in Ya and cemented the BulletBoys place in the most memorable Hair Rock bands. This is one great song, don't miss out!!

Hang on St. Christopher - This incredible Tom Waits cover is nothing short of amazing. This track has a great sound and many will recognize it immediately. It was a staple of the band's live shows in which singer Marq Torien had a set on bongos or other drums that he played while he sang. My friend fought over a drum stick he threw into the crowd. I wish I could remember if he got it.

THC Groove - This was the first single from the Freakshow album. It has a great bass part and it has an Alice in Wonderland theme. There seems to be a question of the THC part. I, as most, would assume it is a drug reference, but when the video played on MTV, it had the song listed as THC (The Hard Core) Groove. I'm sure it was in order to mask the obvious marijuana reference, but there is a bit of trivia for you all. There. Now that's something you know.

Smooth Up in Ya - This song could be heard in most strip clubs in the late 80's. We released it quite a long time ago. Well, we shined this bad ass track up. Improving it on almost all aspects, it now features re-worked instruments and full pitched vocals/harmonies. If you had it already, get this new version. This is a truly iconic song. It is a must for any Rock Band collection!!!

We had one "Big Brain" this week with the hints. Housequake, you are the visual hint master! We all bow to your amazing gift for visual hints. You Rock!!  However, that being said, only two of three hints were solved. You guys are going to have to work hard to beat Housequake here!! There will also be Visual hints for quite a while, so sharpen those minds. There will be more!!

Housequake (2)

Great job!! Thank you for looking at the hints. You all need to step up your game or Housequake is gonna beat you all every time.

Thank you all for the kindness and your nice comments. We love them!!!

We shall return next week with more Hair Rock awesomeness!!
