The song you are releasing is from the artist's Second album?

Yes, That is correct. The song we did was on the second album from this artist. It was his first American hit. The biggest hint was in the last sentence.

Hey there Rockers,

Tuesday has finally returned to the Funhouse. We jumped into the way-back machine and brought back 3 incredible songs from the 1970s.

These aren't just for old-timers, they are great moments in music history!!

All three are great songs. Don't snooze on these gems!!!

We had a couple of "Big Brains" last week! Great job on all the guesses!!

Ezequiel1996 (1)

Funk Meister Freud (1)

I got you on that last one. The word "y'are" was the key, as in the song's lyrics. "An' long tall glasses, with wine up to y'are"

Thank you all for playing along. Hints will be back soon, get those thinkers all charged up.

Release Notes

Black Water - This classic track is well-known and it's sound is well-loved. It was a #1 Billboard hit in 1975. This song will get stuck in your head for days to come. Enjoy this masterpiece that gives the feel of riding the mighty Mississippi River like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.

Makin' It - David Naughton is best known for his role in the film American Werewolf in London, as well as for a long-running "Be a Pepper" ad campaign for beverage maker Dr Pepper. He was also the star of the short lived TV series Makin' It, which this song was the theme for. The song was a top 5 hit and is one of the most memorable disco songs of the era. It will a fun to play.

Long Tall Glasses (I Can Dance) - Leo Sayer had a string of dance hits. My favorite was always this song. It was his first big single in America. This lively fun track will always make me smile. The guitar sound is awesome and the lyrics tickle me to no end. 1970s at their best!!

Thank you everybody. We will return soon with more fun and antics!! Have a great week!!!

You guys are fantastic!.....why?.......Doobie Brothers!!!!!!   :D

Good job on the last clue....both of us were totally stumped as to what the song really was.

I'm glad it turned out to be Leo instead of Donny,(nothing against bubblegum Donny, but......) ;)  LOL!

Funny thing is, I first heard this song on a musical variety show on Italian television while living there. I loved how it grooved and totally understanding all the lyrics (in English) was a plus because I was still learning to comprehend Italian. Never knew where it placed on the charts in the States since I lived in Aviano for a couple of years.

Mucho thanks for doing "I Love the 70's" from someone creaky enough to say "I Lived the 70's"! :D

Release Notes

Crying - This is the biggest Roy Orbison song not in the game. It is one of his most beloved tracks. This week we're pleased to bring you this super fun song. While it won't be too difficult, it will be so enjoyable to play. Enjoy this classic!!!

Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes - Some people are going to wonder why we chose the Alternate Version. There is one clear answer... that bass. This version features a super-fun to play bass track. The original version is a great track, I dig it, however, I went with this version because it has great bass and incredible vocals.

Gallowmere - Galowmere is a track by the band Sinergy, a group formed by (then) husband and wife duo Alexi Laiho, of Children of Bodom, and Kimberly Goss, along with fellow lead guitarist Roope Latvala, who performed in Stone and in Children of Bodom as well. Gallowmere is a track based off of the MediEvil series of games, from the perspective of its main villain. There's some killer guitar work, with an impressive solo with trading leads, and some super catchy parts, especially the chorus.

I apologize for the lack of hints this week, but I had a super full week. The hints will return soon, so keep those big brains all ready to rock!!!

Have a great week!! We'll be back next week with more fun and some great tracks!!

Release Notes

Bruce Springsteen - Pink Cadillac - This track was the b-side to Dancing in the Dark. It is super well-known and is fun for everybody! Ya hear!! Get this song and play it!! Bruce Springsteen is always good and this track is super cool!!

Jose Feliciano - Mystery Train - Mystery Train is a cover of a traditional blues song that also made its way into RBN, with a version by Jerry Naylor. Jose Feliciano is mostly famous for the best-selling Christmas single "Feliz Navidad", but is also well known for his covers, which feature prominent acoustic guitar, generally. Mystery Train is no exception, and is taken to a fairly fast tempo, with a pretty challenging guitar solo in the middle, with some parts you wouldn't really expect on an acoustic guitar.

ReinXeed - Guitar Hero - Guitar Hero is a fairly meta song, in the sense that the singer is directly referring to the person playing the song, the main irony being that this is Rock Band. Regardless, this is a song from people who don't have very nice views of the Guitar Hero series of games, and if you ever wanted a song talking smack about you while you're playing it, then here you go. There's a pretty great solo that isn't totally unbearable, with emphasis on melody. Additionally, there's a tiny Easter egg, sort of, in the first pre-chorus, maybe you'll catch it, maybe not, and if anybody can as a group get over a million points on this to make the lyrics true, then that'd be awesome, as well.

We will return next week with the first week of Ladies Month! Oh, what a month!! Expect hype soon!!!

+ Return of the RockFight!! Are You Ready!!!!

Have a great week!! See ya next week!!
