Sorry if I'm being dumb, but the blog post means there is should be a single song file with the whole album on it, right? I can't seem to find that.

I'm glad to see O:M though, it's the only album from them I was familiar with before C3.

I should probably listen to some more

edit: I found it, it's linked on the blog post, not the spreadsheet. I was being dumb after all

This is mind blowingly amazing. I am still feeling a bit giddy from last week's release and then this week just blew my socks off (if you're keeping track, I am now both faceless & sockless). I swear that when I saw the first clue in the hint thread yesterday (which simply said "REVOLUTION"), Operation Mindcrime was the very first thing I thought of. I never posted my guess because I'm just about always wrong, and I figured I was getting my hopes up way too high and setting myself up for disappointment. Well I guess even when I'm right, I'm wrong. This album remains among my favorites of all-time from start to finish. I have seen Queensryche perform it live in it's entirety twice (many years apart) and now my friends & I shall do the same in my living room.

TREMENDOUS THANKS to Farottone and xlxAvaricexlx, I imagine that this project must've been a huge undertaking. FWIW, I assure you that many of us will soon be channeling all of that energy you guys put into this release in the form of pure (LOUD) joy and good old hard rockin' sweat.

Edit- Also love me some Raconteurs. An "embarrassment of riches" indeed Colonel.

I am empty inside. But I had this one on my HDD for 2 years and it was about time I released. I "slightly" mistimed the released so I ended up losing sleep over it. With the help of Nemo and Lowlander it got out in time. :)

You're not dumb, and it will be in the database when I have coded up a solution for it to my satisfaction.

I have many reason for liking this site/community. One of them is being introduced to new music. This was one of those weeks. Checking YouTube to listen to the full songs, liking them, and downloading. Thanks to all those authors that introduce me to new music.
And of course thanking the authors that release well known classics (Queensrÿche - Operation: Mindcrime ). I call bullshit on Farottone. There is no way he lost sleep, the man puts out way to many tunes to sleep :)

I'm getting at least one of the Raconteurs and SSPU.

As for Operation Mindcrime...I'm sure this will sound like blasphemy in reference to a concept album, but if you only had to choose a couple tracks, what would you recommend? Was anything on the album particularly radio friendly? I'm getting close to running into the song limit, so I can't be downloading every single track.

I'm thinking what I'll do is download the full album "song" (great idea) and like, 2 tracks, in order to get album sorting.

Thanks farrotone and the other charters!

I'm not in a position to load my xbox right now and check myself, so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the runtime on the full album megatrack?

Either you guys are missing something, or I'm missing something. Nowhere do I see a mention of a one mega-song release. There are a few medleys, and then there is a PACK of the entire album. A pack is one CON file with all the song files inside. But that's not ONE mega-song.

Or like I said, I'm missing something. I didn't see any download for a mega-song file.

Maybe I explained it wrong, but there is NO single song. The album isn't a single uninterrupted composition so I had no reason to do a single song. We have:
- The 15 single tracks
- One CON package courtesy of the awesome C3 CON Tools by Nemo so that you don't need to download each file if you want the whole album
- The 3 individual medley songs linking the tracks that run interrupted on the album

According to our community, the most popular songs are I Don't Believe in Love and Eyes of a Stranger. If *I* had to choose I would say Spreading the Disease and Suite Sister Mary. Value for money though are the 3 medleys: 9 songs for the price of 3 "song slots".

Gotcha. I'll give those a go. Sorry,
I was clearly confused on the release.

Edit: it was this from the blog that confused me:

"Plus, the album is also available in a single package with all the medleys intact, so that you can play it with no intended interruptions."

I see now what it referred to, but at the time my mind read it the way it wanted to!
