Woah wait, why are you sound recording externally for the DS games? Isn't it possible to just rip from the game. Or even better, use the built in audio or video record to grab the audio at the emulation level and not worry about skipping?

Ahh...thats who you are Mr. Toaster Toasts Toast. Kinda wondered where you drifted off to[and yb6 came to mind when i noticed this thread].. If only u could get access to ur ps3 hdd for that file...or even a captured the link to the .pkg of the dlc. I'd convert it for you.....and of course everyone else. Also a its been only a year. =D I am in talks with someone about releasing GH3 w/ DLC along with rudimentary vox/charts for on-screen lyrics and good expert only drums....We'll see.

Hey bluzer! Yeah, it's been a while, hasn't it?

It's a bit of a long story as to why I vanished from the phase shift scene. Lets just say it involves a car, a lengthy hospital stay, and amassing a huge vinyl record collection. Still toasting toast though. I must have a lousy sense of time, I thought it was longer than a year. I have a borked 60 gig PS3 that I'd love to get converted into a customs playing RB3 beast, and pull that dlc file off of. Its got a YLOD, and I'm in the dark as to whom to seek out to repair, downgrade, and jail it for me. At least the hdd is intact.

Your GH3 project sounds awesome! I have a sneaking suspicion that a certain asskickulator and his work are somehow involved as well. it going to include all the songs already in the other games as well? Heck, at this point, I'd settle for a completed custom version of the End Begins to Rock mid, using that one you sent me. I'm hoping to try and find someone interested in finishing it, along that certain hidden on-disc rock band 1 song that puppetz made a chart to. ;)

EDIT: Got a brand spanking new Rock Band pack up, with some 'hidden' goodies. Along with 2 rock revolution DLC tracks, and a karaoke version of Tangerine Kitty - Dumb ways to Die.

The broken/dead links should all be fixed now. They'll be good for 30 odd days, and should renew each time they are fully downloaded. If anyone finds any broken or incorrect links, let me know and I'll get that that sorted out.

Everything is OGG now for slightly smaller download size. Figured the wv files were overkill for the game rips. If anyone wants the HQ versions though, let me know and I'll upload 'em.

As for the LP rips, I'm starting a new thread for them. Since (I'm assuming) 99% of people ignored them as they aren't multitrack anyways. This way everything is multitrack, and people are happy. :)

EDIT: Check first post for a few new tracks.

Many thanks man. I've pretty much downloaded anything and everything that I needed. :)

New Song: Scorpions - No One Like You

After seeing that Spindoctor put out the Scorpions track from GH80s, I booted it and had a blast with it. Then I noticed how it sounded just like it did in the older game engine. Make everything loud, and turn guitar past 11. Silly Harmonix of yesteryear. Moar volume! So I went back to the GH80s disc, pulled new stem rips, did a bit of tweaking, and jammed them into a clone con with C3 Magma for testing. It sounded pretty nice, even Fake Klaus Meine sounds great. (Sorry Fake Steven Tyler.)

Obviously I'm not going to step on toes by re-upping the test con, but I will provide the audio (as usual) for you to do with as you like. Check the first two posts for links etc etc.

I will redo this song with your audio, if it works I will definitely convert some of the older pre GH World Tour tunes using your audio with credit givin to you. I also have no problem with anyone who wants to upgrade any of my converts.

Well after several tries at making this song better, I have given up hope. Your audio work definitely sounds better & is more balanced, but no matter what I do I still get clipping or interference of some kind. This happens with every file pre World tour. I have put a lot of time into making these & I would rather spend my time doing files I know work. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the song ogg or backing track, if you listen to it alone it has guitar in it as well as vocals & drums. I have actually noticed this clipping/interference with the original rockband as well, not as bad but its there

I believe your right about the RB3 engine. When I listen to the oggs by themselves or together in Audacity it is crisp, clean sound and in stereo. When I produce a con the sound has changed drastically and the voice is mono on the right channel. The audio you provided is way better than the con I originally created. I made at least 10 runs through magma using attenuation with the same results each time, I even tried it as an single MP3 file and get the same interference. It is very frustrating.
Thanks for providing these files and although I am frustrated by it I will probably keep trying for better results.

Check out my thread page 10, Max Pain explains attenuation http://www.pksage.co...tart=180#p23225
originally when I made the song into a con, He told me I put bass at -4 attenuation when in fact I didn't touch it

I render them in stereo through Reaper, I never thought of trying mono.

If you have vocals in the song, put the audio track on vocals instead of backing, pute mute on backing and the bug is gone.
