Reviving my WIP thread to avoid creating a new one. Now that I've started spending a lot more time authoring it has been recommended that I keep an up to date WIP thread up to date so y'all can see what songs are brewing in my wheelhouse! (What is a wheelhouse anyway?)

Most up-to-the-minute information can be found in this Google Sheet.

Do you want to collaborate on any of these songs? Send me a PM! (Also send me a PM if you're working on one of these already.)

Completed (in QA; to be released in the very near future)

  • Orville Peck - Turn to Hate
  • Orville Peck - Dead of Night

In Progress (Remaining tracks/Items in parentheses)

  • Meat Loaf - Objects in the Rear View Mirror (Harmonies, Keys)
  • Veruca Salt - Volcano Girls (Vocals)
  • TLC - Waterfalls (Bass, Guitar, Vocals)
  • S Club 7 - S Club Party (Guitar, Vocals, Harmonies)
  • Ariana Grande - Thank U, Next (Vocals, Drums, Bass)

Tempo Mapped, Tracks Not Started

  • Janelle Monae - Make Me Feel
  • Destiny's Child - Say My Name
  • Lizzo - Good as Hell
  • Disney - Be Our Guest

To Do in Future (Projects Not Yet Started)

  • Murder By Death - Fuego!
  • The Weakerthans - The Reasons
  • The Mountain Goats - Damn These Vampires
  • Bif Naked - Spaceman
  • Bif Naked - Lucky
  • The Tragically Hip - Bobcaygeon
  • Disney - Colours of the Wind
  • The Sundays - Wild Horses

I'm definitely gonna do them, but unfortunately I realized this morning that, unless I'm mistaken, I can't do the 3-part harmonies on A Man's Gotta Do, which is my favourite song! All three vocalists in that song have different parts going at the same time with different lyrics, and the authoring docs say Rock Band is limited to 2 different lyric sets between Harm 1, 2, and 3 at any given time. Bummer. :( I'm not sure how you would author it with just 2 harmonies so I might scrap it. Instead I'll probably do a Buffy song from the musical episode.

But at least My Eyes and Freeze Ray are fine. So They Say should be okay for three-part harmonies too, I think. I'm planning on doing two versions of these songs, btw - an official version and a karaoke (without any vocals at all) version, since I don't have multitracks and I want a version with no vocals. The karaoke track I've got for it isn't identical to the actual song, but it's close enough to at least chart on it.

Actually, you can have 3 different lyrics going on, but you need to hide either the HARM2 or HARM3 lyrics with a "$" sign after each lyric if they sing different things at the same time. You will still be able to see them in practice mode when doing this. Not the best solution, but it's possible.

I was so exited by A man's Gotta Do. I imagined how fun it must be with the 3 part harmonies at the end :(
But the other 3 songs are great and thank you for working on those.
And a Buffy song could be a blast too :excited: : I'll Never Tell or Under Your Spell/Standing–Reprise for really cool duet (but maybe not for fun band play ;) )

I'm really excited to see some Sloan. Especially some tracks from Navy Blues. I'd play that album as a setlist, for sure.

Nice work.

Seeing as it's been almost 3 years since the last post, I'm going to guess no.

You saying the post is up to date? Cause Seether is in the DB. Just needs vocals pitched.

Oh you're totally right!! Don't know how I missed that. I'll get with Sygenesis to see if we can collab on the vocals! Woot for having to do less work!

Welcome back buddy!

Crazy Canuck blessed me with drums for Bobcaygeon if you are interested.  The only thing stopping me from doing that one personally, the guitar is super 'strummy' (its an amazing song) and I have a lot of difficulty charting these types of tracks.

FYI I've cherry picked a bunch of Veruca Salt tracks in my WIP in case you can't complete the vocals for Seether and are looking at other options.
