With all these Tool songs, I'm surprised no one has taken Vicarious and made it 2x bass yet...

I've actually been working on that for awhile, but I'm doing more than just the 2x bass as ghost notes on the snare were left out, as well as multiple other things. I've been paranoid with it however, as it's my favorite song and I want to do it justice by the community!

Ive asked this before and got no answer. Do these song have to be played with double bass? How does it work. I love tool but all of them are double bass and i play on wii

Hi there, moc_os! I apologize for not seeing your question before. These songs do not have to be played with double bass. Every one of my Tool customs is authored with both options. The "Download for Xbox 360" option will give a single bass pedal version. The (2x Bass Pedal) in parenthesis links directly to the double bass version so make sure to hit the first link!

In regards to Wii questions I am not the guy to ask, but Stackoverflow0x is definitely the guy you should head to. However, I went over to the "[How-To] Play Customs on Wii"  in the Troubleshooting section and very quickly skimmed and it looks like Con Tools does a simple conversion! So download the 1x version, then convert and you should be great.

Thanks DenVaktare. will give this a try as soon as i fix my setup. everything got messed up.

this and schism never had double bass for the gh version. shouldn't double bass be expert and single be hard? why two versions?

Perhaps you're thinking of Parabola? This was never on Guitar Hero. Also, that's because Guitar Hero never supported double bass officially. Schism should absolutely have double bass in it (and there will be that option soon, I'm almost done). Some people's kits don't support double bass, so authors will strive to release two versions of the custom. If you're talking about having the expert version of the single pedal version be placed in the hard slot of the double bass version, combining the two, then no. You'd be forcing someone to go from medium to essentially expert. There are definitely a few who play on hard and we wouldn't want to rob them of that option. Thanks for your comment, though!

Just for re-clarification, and I'm sure you're well aware of this, but the "Download for Xbox 360" option will give a single bass pedal version for those whose kits don't support double bass, or for those who simply want to play that version instead.. The (2x Bass Pedal) in parenthesis links directly to the double bass version.

sorry you are correct. from the looks of things the gh songs that were converted don't have 2x bass drums when they probably should. fyi guitar hero did officially do double bass just not with world tour...it was marked as expert + and since they used peizo sensors you just had to split your drum port. no rock box or extra peripherals
