Author Notes

The Yessongs version of Long Distance Runaround. What a bass track, if you are a bass player, get this song now! This is the 14 minute version that is from Yessongs and it has one of the longest bass solos i think i have ever heard, at one point in the song to becomes just a bass/drums jam session. Great stuff and i wish Yes was more like this with their live material.

Thanks! Do you know if this is Bruford or White on drums? If remember rightly, it was during this tour that Bill left.

Yessongs was recorded during the "Fragile" and "Close to the Edge" tours. Bill appears on "Perpetual Change", and "Long Distance Runaround / The Fish". Bill left after the recording sessions of CTTE were done, sadly there are no recordings of Bill playing CTTE live back in 1972, because he never did.

I appreciate the detailed information. I'm glad Bill went to King Crimson. He made some great contributions to that group. Alan is an amazing drummer too.

Bill's jazz sensibility and joy at the kit inspire me. I love that a lot of early Yes and Bruford era Crimson are available as customs. Thanks for your hard work!

Yeah! I find that all the bands he was in, were better when he is in them (Yes, KC, UK).

Agreed! It would be great to see some BB's solo/Earthworks customs. I'd try to chart some myself but a large part of the time I don't even know what time signature(s) he's playing in!
