UPDATE 7/27/2020

Dolly FINALLY gets her long overdue update from when I was first learning customs. I didn't salvage anything, I just started over from scratch. Everything is redone, everything is better, everything is now right with the universe.

Hard to call this song country as it transcends genres and has been covered over and over again and keeps turning into a hit for even the cover artists. The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2014, not far behind Dolly Parton's other well-written and performed hit, I Will Always Love You (but we all know what Whitney did with that one).

Well done sir.  I still cant believe that "Islands in the stream" hasn't been done. Classic duet.

Looking forward to singing this. The drums are a bit repetitive and seems like a missed oportunity for some drum fill patterns using toms leading into each chorus. I can clearly hear them in the mix. Well done for a classic song.

They are the same sound as the kick, so that's where I charted them. Unless you're talking about the second percussion (almost bongo like), then I tried to stick to charting only one set of drums as there was clear crossover with the original drumming. However, I'll take another spin through it and see if it's indeed the same set and I just missed charting them properly. Thanks for the feedback!

Good call, IMO. I had to put on headphones to hear them, there's no way you can locate them in the sound while playing. it would feel disjointed to me. I understand the part is repetitive, but well, the part is repetitive. ;)

Wow, that was a disaster for me on guitar... barely 3 stars and I got overdrive once, but at least my percentage was sixty-nine . Such a gentle song, yet so difficult. I feel so emasculated... :crying:

Really, though, thanks a lot for this one! Variety is the spice of life. :haw:

P.S. The song doesn't appear to have a numeric ID to save scores. Not that my score for this will ever be worth saving... :argh:

Figured out the issue. Will create 10-digit numeric song IDs in the future and will update others as time permits. Thanks!

I'm glad you were able to fix this one up, especially the removing/acquiring a version without the ending fade. I actually fixed the latter myself for the old version, but I don't remember if I ever contacted you about it. Probably better now you've redone everything from scratch.
