Author Notes

You might mistake this for a simple pop song, but looking closer reveals an unusual 9/4 time signature, most easily noticed when playing drums as the snare alternates between on- and off-beat hits. Other oddities include an instrumental chorus and bridge.

Guitar is most likely the most interesting instrument on this song, playing mostly fun riffs continuously.

Drums take a while to kick in proper, but they are a lot of fun, with many small accents all over the place.

Bass is less interesting, but the bridge is a highlight. Towards the end it picks up again.

Keys are simple outside of the bridge, which is a nice change of pace.

This song is fun to sing, but vocals/harmonies are not a highlight.

The download link gives me a file without charted vocals. I have the same issue with Raven and Routine.

Where can I find the updated versions?

Very odd. I just downloaded the files and C3 CON Tools shows me fully featured songs in the Visualizer. Did you try the Other File(s) link?

In case you have downloaded the work-in-progress versions in the past, you will have to delete them from within the game, or delete your song cache before the new instruments are picked up by the game.

I did download the WIP versions. But I deleted them from my USB drive before downloading the new versions.

I also tried with the dropbox folder and it gives me the same files. Plus, the new files show me a blank album cover and it gives me no preview sound whatsoever. I didn't try to play them, but I had the same issue with some customs in the past and they crashed the game.

Maybe you coud add V2 or something to the new files to tell them apart from the rest.

Thanks for these, Whizzer!

First things first. Deleting files from your USB drive won't help if you don't also delete your song cache. I think I changed the internal song names as well between WIP and final status, which explains the blank album cover and missing preview sound.

If deleting the song cache doesn't help, please extract the songs.dta file from the songs (with C3 CON Tools) and see if all instrument difficulties are non-zero. You can also try importing the midi file into REAPER to see if the vocals/harmonies charts are actually there.

Yep, that was the trouble. The harmonies were there once I deleted the song cache.

Sorry to bother you. Amazing job with the Wilson songs. I hope to see more in the future )o)

No worries. Various problems like these have confused the hell out of me too!

I hope to release on a somewhat stable schedule, but no promises.
