Huge fan of this band and I'm saddened to see this is the only available song by them here! The guitar chart is really, really well done. It's a shame there aren't pitched vocals, and that solo is impossible (for me, at least) to combo. Isn't there some sort of in-game mechanic that allows incredibly fast strumming without breaking combo? I see that in a few other custom songs... you should use that to make it easier . Thanks for this! Here's hoping for more some day!
P.S. The "45" in-game doesn't have the quotes around it
P.P.S. Anything from American Slang or The '59 Sound albums would be preferred
Thanks for the comment! I'm in the middle of reworking "45" (and adding the appropriate quotations). I've been on a bit of a sabbatical but I do intend on finishing the whole '59 Sound album.
That's awesome, man! If you need a Wii playtester, count me in! I've listened to the entire The '59 Sound album hundreds of times and would be absolutely willing to give feedback on the guitar/bass/vocal charts.
P.S. I hope one day you'll take pity on us Wii users (me, specifically!) and upload R.E.M.'s Supernatural Superserious, Man-Sized Wreath, and Horse to Water without multitracks so we (ahem, I) can enjoy them without stuttering rendering them unplayable. Accelerate is my favorite R.E.M. album (not a common opinion!) and it's a drag that there are no Wii-specific versions of these three songs in any of the databases, so while a version with proper Wii-friendly reduced-quality multitracks would be preferred, beggars can't be choosers.
That's another thing I've been meaning to do. I know I said a loooong time ago that I would get Wii versions of my multitrack songs up, but I swear I will eventually get those done as well.
I just edited Chainsaw Octopus's "Short Change Hero" by The Heavy to have improved pitched vocals, and I think I did a bang-up job! Hopefully he agrees
If you already have your vocals "programmed in" for this, I'd be happy to pitch them! I'm good at dragging note bars up and down. I'm new at this, but I know I have a keen ear for songs I know by heart . You'd just have to hook me up with your Reaper file.
I actually have the vocals pitched on this song already. I need to do some manual reductions and I think that's it. I initially wanted to release a couple of my songs with pitched vocals but illness and lack of motivation didn't work out in my favor. I will be testing this song at a RB party this week so as long as it works there, I should have it updated by next week.
